Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a young boy was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the urban area experienced heavy assaults overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were injured.

The assaults come after periods of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
